Beatified Mexican martyr Ángel Darío Acosta Zurita awaits miracle for sainthood

The Diocese of Veracruz reports that devotion to the beatus Ángel Darío Acosta Zurita continues, with a monthly celebration held on the 25th of each month and participants from Naolinco gathering for the ceremony.

The Church’s next step toward canonization is the Vatican’s recognition of a miracle attributed to his intercession. The diocese has collected several testimonies, which priest Ismael is reviewing for medical and scientific credibility before forwarding the dossiers to Rome. First‑class relics, including the beatus’s bone fragments, are displayed in an urn at the Veracruz cathedral.
