Diogo Defante reveals recovery from eyelid tumor removal
Brazilian comedian Diogo Defante has shared details regarding his physical and emotional recovery following the removal of a benign tumor from his eyelid in 2024. The tumor, identified as a capillary hemangioma, was caused by the abnormal growth of small blood vessels and had caused visible swelling and a drooping eyelid.
Defante revealed on Instagram that the treatment required intense use of corticosteroids, which led to significant weight gain and physical debilitation. He noted that he nearly experienced depression while attempting to maintain his professional schedule and fulfill existing work contracts during his recovery.
Having regained his health, the 35-year-old comedian is now focusing on physical fitness and is scheduled to perform at Rock in Rio on September 4.
