Dion Lopy's €19 million move from UD Almería to Saudi club Al Ittihad
Saudi Pro League side Al Ittihad has reached a preliminary agreement with Spanish club UD Almería to sign Senegalese midfielder Dion Lopy for a fixed fee of €19 million. The deal also includes a clause granting Almería a 10 % share of any future transfer fee.
The transfer is awaiting Lopy's medical examination and the signing of the necessary paperwork. Al Ittihad view the 23‑year‑old as a potential key player for their midfield, while Almería will need to find a replacement and will benefit from a significant cash injection.
The same transfer window also sees Almería close to completing the sale of Ghanaian midfielder Iddrisu Baba to Serbian club Partizan, further reshaping the Spanish side's squad ahead of the new season.
