Dionne Warwick cancels Carnegie Hall performance due to mobility issues
Singer Dionne Warwick, 85, has canceled her scheduled appearance at Carnegie Hall due to severe leg and foot pain. The five-time Grammy winner was set to perform at the ‘Deborah Silver & Fabulous Friends: Voices for ALS’ charity benefit at Zankel Hall in New York City.
In a statement, Warwick explained that her mobility issues prevented her from standing or walking, making it impossible to perform. She noted that she is focusing on rest and recovery. This follows a period of health challenges for the singer, including emergency leg surgery in 2025.
Marilyn Maye performed in Warwick’s place at the event, joining other artists including Jon Secada, Mikaela Secada, and Stella Cole.
