Dionysis Temponeras distances ELAS from controversial remarks

Dionysis Temponeras, the Labor Sector Chief of ELAS, has distanced himself from controversial language used by journalist Thanasis Karteros in a recent article. The article, which sparked tension between ELAS and PASOK, included provocative phrasing regarding PASOK leadership.

Speaking on the News 2.0 program, Temponeras sought to de-escalate the situation, stating that the relationship between ELAS and PASOK is strictly one of programmatic competition. He clarified that he would not have used the specific expressions found in Karteros’s piece. Temponeras further noted that the political opposition of ELAS is directed toward the government of Kyriakos Mitsotakis and the reversal of right-wing policies.

In response to the controversy, Thanasis Karteros clarified that the views expressed in his article are his own and do not represent any other individuals or organizations.
