Diosdado Cabello affirms PSUV readiness for future elections

Diosdado Cabello, Secretary General of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), stated that the ruling party maintains a nationwide structure prepared to compete and win in any upcoming electoral process, whether it occurs this year or in 2028. During a weekly press conference following a meeting with the party's National Directorate, Cabello emphasized that the PSUV will act as a “single, united block” to support whatever electoral decisions are made.

Cabello noted that the party is focused on winning rather than receiving “silver medals” and criticized opposition sectors regarding the timing of elections. Meanwhile, acting president Delcy Rodríguez has maintained that elections in Venezuela will take place “when the conditions are met,” noting that the country follows its Constitution and established democratic electoral systems. Rodríguez reiterated her commitment to ensuring the nation is prepared for the electoral process when appropriate.
