Diosdado Cabello Calls for Continued Fight Against Media Campaign and Invites Opposition Dialogue in Venezuela

Venezuelan leader Diosdado Cabello announced via an audio message on the PSUV Telegram channel that his state‑run TV program “Con el Mazo Dando” will keep exposing what he describes as a coordinated “media war” against the country. He accused “mercenaries and palangristas” of intensifying a disinformation campaign following the deadly June 24 earthquakes that killed more than 6,000 people.

In the same broadcast, Cabello stressed that the Venezuelan people have always answered calls for dialogue, noting ongoing community‑level discussions and welcoming opposition participants who respect the constitution. He expressed support for the government delegation led by Jorge Rodríguez, which is set to engage in an inclusive political dialogue with opposition sectors.
