Diourbel musicians complete national musical arrangement workshop

Twenty musicians from the Diourbel, Bambey, and Mbacké departments have completed a national capacity-building workshop in musical arrangement. The intensive training program, held at the Regional Cultural Center in Diourbel, was organized by the National Festival of Arts and Culture (FESNAC) in partnership with the local cultural center.

The workshop aimed to provide technical and professional skills to artists working in the country's interior, helping to reduce disparities in access to professional training compared to those in the capital. Participants received official certificates marking the conclusion of the program.

Local officials, including Thiecoura Sène, the deputy mayor in charge of youth, praised the initiative for its necessity in professionalizing local talent. The instructor, Mamour Kassé, and participants expressed a desire for the continued availability of such training sessions to support the region's musical landscape.
