Diplomatic activities in Islamabad involve Tajikistan and Yemen

The Embassy of Tajikistan in Islamabad hosted a reception to celebrate Tajikistan’s Independence Day. Led by Ambassador Sharifzoda Yusuf Toir, the event included a flag-hoisting ceremony and was attended by diplomats and community members. The Ambassador noted that bilateral relations between Tajikistan and Pakistan have grown through cooperation in trade, energy, and cultural exchange.

Separately, Dr. Rashad Mohammed Al-Alimi, Chairman of Yemen’s Presidential Leadership Council, met with ambassadors in Riyadh to discuss the Yemeni crisis. Al-Alimi called for international support for Yemen’s legitimate institutions and sovereignty, urging the implementation of UN Security Council resolutions to restore stability. He emphasized that the Houthi militias are responsible for recent escalations and expressed concern regarding attacks on civilian areas and threats to international maritime navigation and the security of neighboring Saudi Arabia.
