Diplomatic missions strengthen bilateral ties in Bahrain and the Netherlands

In Bahrain, Sheikh Khalid bin Rashid Al Khalifa, Director General of the General Directorate of Execution of Sentences and Alternative Sanctions, received US Ambassador Stephanie Halland at the Open Prison Complex. The visit aimed to strengthen cooperation and exchange expertise regarding the open prison program and its initiatives for social reintegration. The program has notably received accreditation from the American Correctional Association (ACA), making it the first entity outside the United States to achieve this status.

In the Netherlands, Jordanian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ayman Safadi met with Dutch Prime Minister Dick Schoof and Foreign Minister Tom Berendsen in The Hague. The discussions focused on enhancing bilateral partnerships across political, economic, and security sectors. The leaders addressed regional stability and explored cooperation in water, agriculture, renewable energy, and technology. The meeting also highlighted the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Jordan and the Netherlands and discussed investment opportunities in the Port of Aqaba.
