Diputació de Lleida allocates €13 million to combat demographic challenges

The Diputació de Lleida has allocated more than 13 million euros to address demographic challenges facing rural areas. This commitment was highlighted by Agustí Jiménez, Vice President of the institution and Mayor of Torre-serona, during a seminar titled ‘Ruralitats. Els municipis rurals de Lleida: reptes i oportunitats’.

The seminar, organized by the Chair of Socioeconomic Studies and Depopulation of the University of Lleida, featured discussions on the economic shifts in rural Lleida. Experts analyzed various challenges facing the region, including housing, youth emancipation, social services, and education.
