Diputació de Tarragona earmarks 65 million euros for strategic projects

The Tarragona Provincial Council (Diputació de Tarragona) has unanimously approved the earmarking of 65 million euros to ensure the continuity of strategic projects initiated during the current mandate. These funds, drawn from previous year treasury surpluses, are intended to support the execution of initiatives outlined in the Council's Space Plan and Energy Transition Plan.

Key projects slated for funding include the new operational headquarters in Plaça Imperial Tàrraco, expansions of the Music School and Conservatory in both Tarragona and Reus, the construction of a new auditorium in Reus, works at the Alba Special Education Centre, and the relocation of the MAMT to the Council Palace.

Additionally, the Council approved a collaboration agreement with the Vila-seca City Council to maintain and continue musical education and conservatory teachings managed by the Vila-seca Municipal Music Board.
