Diputación da Coruña funds AXF sign language services

The Diputación da Coruña has provided 16,692 euros to the Asociación de persoas Xordas de Ferrolterra (AXF) through the FOAXE-P call for applications in 2026. This funding supports the Sign Language Interpretation Service, which aims to promote social inclusion and independence for deaf individuals by removing communication barriers.

The service, which includes information services and legal advice, is co-financed by the Diputación da Coruña, the Ferrol City Council, and the Narón City Council. AXF has represented the deaf community in the Ferrolterra region since 1972 and is recognized as a public utility entity.
