Diputación de Cáceres honors 48 retiring employees

The Diputación de Cáceres held an institutional ceremony on October 19 to honor 48 employees retiring this year. The event coincided with the feast day of San Pedro de Alcántara, the patron saint of the province and the institution.

The ceremony included a mass at the Concatedral de Santa María, officiated by Bishop Jesús Pulido, followed by a formal gathering in the Salón de Plenos of the Provincial Palace. The group of retirees consisted of 33 men and 15 women. As a token of gratitude for their years of public service, members of the provincial corporation presented the retirees with traditional wristwatches.

Special recognition was given to three employees who completed 45 years of service: María Sequeros Cortés Requejo, Carmen Herraiz Cruz, and Valentina Nieves Sánchez. The event, which featured musical performances by the Grupo de Cámara of the Banda Sinfónica Provincial de Cáceres, was described by President Miguel Ángel Morales as one of the most emotional dates on the institutional calendar.
