Diputación de León allocates 62,800 euros for youth training

The Diputación de León has approved a funding plan for the Provincial School of Youth Animation and Leisure Time (EPATiLeón). The institution will allocate 62,800 euros to support training activities, with the remaining portion of the 75,000 euro budget covered by participant fees.

The program is designed for young residents in municipalities with fewer than 20,000 inhabitants. It aims to provide professional training, facilitate the acquisition of professional certificates, and promote values such as solidarity and social participation. Additionally, the initiative seeks to support job creation and encourage young people to remain in rural areas.

The training offer includes seven courses covering roles such as leisure time coordinator, leisure time monitor, and lifeguard in aquatic facilities. Municipalities have until October 8 to submit requests through the Diputación de León's electronic office.
