Diputación de Málaga announces 12th Best Wines Awards

The Diputación de Málaga, through the Sabor a Málaga brand, has announced the call for the 12th edition of the Best Wines Awards for Denominación de Origen Protegida (DOP) ‘Málaga’ and ‘Sierras de Málaga’.

The competition features a total prize pool of 29,150 euros. This year, the contest introduces a sixth category, ‘Vino de Licor Seco ‘Málaga’’, joining the previous five categories: White ‘Sierras de Málaga’, Sweet Still White ‘Málaga’, Red ‘Sierras de Málaga’ (up to six months), Red ‘Sierras de Málaga’ (over six months), and Sweet Liquor Wine ‘Málaga’.

Each winning wine will receive 4,580 euros, with an additional 1,670 euros available for special mentions. These funds are designated for the Diputación to purchase the winning products for promotional activities, helping the distinguished wineries enter national and international commercial circuits.
