Diputación de Soria prepares for upcoming school games season

Approximately twenty sports instructors met with the Diputación de Soria and Sports Deputy Sergio Frías to coordinate the 2026-2027 season. A primary focus of the meeting was the preparation for the Juegos Escolares, a traditional provincial sporting event for students.

The upcoming program will include football, basketball, handball, and volleyball. These competitions are designed to allow students from different municipalities to travel throughout the province, fostering social interaction and teamwork.

To address logistical challenges such as scheduling conflicts with extracurricular activities and federated competitions, Fridays will once again serve as the standard day for the Juegos Escolares. The meeting also allowed instructors to discuss local difficulties, such as the challenges of forming complete teams in certain municipalities.
