Diputación de Valencia approves 200,000 euros for Sueca trinquet roof

The Diputación de Valencia has approved 200,000 euros from its 'Plan de Trinquetes' to fund the replacement of the roof at the Eusebio de Sueca municipal trinquet. This funding will be split equally with the Sueca City Council, bringing the total investment for the project to 400,000 euros.

The sports facility has been closed since late January 2026, after severe winds and hail damaged the existing roof, leading to technical reports that deemed the structure unsafe for users. The project aims to fully replace the current roof to ensure safety and allow the facility to reopen.

Julián Sáez, the Mayor of Sueca, stated that the funding is a significant step toward reopening the venue. He noted the urgency of the repairs, as local players, including adults and children, are currently forced to use alternative facilities in Favara and the IES Joan Fuster sports center.
