Direct Relief donates hybrid refrigerators to Chad

The Chadian Minister of Public Health and Prevention, Dr. Abdelmadjid Abderahim, received a donation of 23 hybrid refrigerators and accessories from the NGO Direct Relief on October 24, 2026. The equipment is designated for provincial supply pharmacies (PPA) to strengthen the pharmaceutical cold chain.

This initiative aims to improve the preservation of temperature-sensitive health products, such as vaccines, insulin, and laboratory reagents, particularly in regions where electricity access is limited. Dr. Ayoub Moussa Abderamane, Director General of Pharmacy, Medicine, and Laboratories, noted that the donation is essential for maintaining the quality and efficacy of medical supplies distributed across the national territory.
