Direction générale des impôts achieves 108% tax recovery rate

The Direction générale des impôts (DGI) reported a significant tax collection performance for August 2026. Under the leadership of Director General Talato Eliane Djiguemdé/Ouédraogo, the administration mobilized 122 billion CFA francs against a target of 112 billion CFA francs, representing a recovery rate of 108%.

Despite August being a month traditionally characterized by lower economic activity and staff holidays, the DGI described the achievement as exceptional. During a recent ceremony, the administration also recognized the contributions of the Direction de la prospective et du suivi des réformes (DPSR), the Service financier (SF), and the Bureau comptable matière secondaire (BCMS) for their essential roles in maintaining fiscal performance.
