Director Ilya Sigma clarifies 'Hasut' plot theories

Director and writer Ilya Sigma has addressed audience theories regarding the horror-mystery film ‘Hasut’. Specifically, Sigma clarified that the character Rere, played by Rachel Amanda, does not actually undergo a demonic possession.

Sigma explained that the confusion stems from the characters' own fears and psychological wounds. The film utilizes shifting perspectives to show how characters interpret fragmented sounds and information through the lens of their personal anxieties. The director noted that the audience is intentionally placed in a similar position, forced to distinguish between what is actually seen and what is merely assumed by the characters.
