Director Jeremy Saulnier tributes Patrick Stewart
Director Jeremy Saulnier paid tribute to actor Patrick Stewart during a 10th anniversary screening of the film ‘Green Room’ in Los Angeles. The event took place one day after Stewart passed away at the age of 86.
Saulnier credited Stewart with saving the production of ‘Green Room’ when it was nearing shutdown. According to the director, the film was at a point of no return because the role of the skinhead leader, Darcy Banker, had not been cast. Saulnier stated that Stewart expressed unexpected interest in the project, which led to the film being instantly greenlit.
Saulnier described Stewart as a “true gentleman” and a “kind leader” to the cast, noting that the actor was completely aligned with the film’s aesthetic and intentions.
