Director Pavan Sadineni arrested over sexual abuse and cheating allegations

Telugu filmmaker Pavan Sadineni has been arrested by the Golconda Police following allegations of sexual abuse, physical assault, and cheating. The arrest follows a complaint filed by an aspiring actress who had been in a relationship with the director for over a year.

The complainant alleged that Sadineni promised marriage, financial security, and film production opportunities to support her career. She further claimed that he misled her regarding his marital status, stating he was undergoing a divorce. The allegations include physical assault during an intimate encounter on August 5, 2026, and coercion into sexual activity despite her health concerns.

Following an inquiry, Sadineni was produced before a magistrate and sent to judicial custody at Chanchalguda Prison. Sadineni is currently directing the film ‘Akasamlo Oka Tara’ starring Dulquer Salmaan.
