Director Sundar C. addresses VFX criticism at Mookuthi Amman 2 event

Director Sundar C. expressed disappointment regarding online criticisms of the visual effects in his upcoming film, ‘Mookuthi Amman 2’. Speaking at a pre-release event, he noted that while he welcomes constructive criticism, it is painful to see comments claiming the film relies heavily on AI without understanding the technical process.

He clarified that out of more than 3,000 CG shots in the film, AI was utilized in only 15. Sundar C. emphasized the immense scale of the production, stating that approximately 800 people worked on the project for 1.5 years, with 400 artists dedicated specifically to the CG work.

Lead actress Nayanthara also shared an emotional tribute to the project, describing it as a film that will remain close to her heart long after filming concludes. The film, produced by Aiswarya Ganesh under Wales Film International, has received a UA 16+ certificate and is scheduled for release on November 6.
