Director Victor Vũ prepares for historical epic ‘Chien Bao’

Director Victor Vũ and his production team recently attended the 2026 Lam Kinh Festival at the Lam Kinh Special National Relic Site in Thanh Hoa. The visit served as a tribute to national heroes, including Lê Lợi, ahead of the production of his upcoming historical epic, ‘Chien Bao’.

The film project, which has completed its casting phase, is scheduled for release in 2028 to coincide with the 610th anniversary of the Lam Son Uprising. Victor Vũ, known in the Vietnamese film industry for high-grossing historical and period dramas such as ‘The Last Wife’, is aiming to bring significant cultural and cinematic scale to this new production.
