Director Will Gluck reduces nudity in 'One Night Only' due to audience discomfort

Director Will Gluck has revealed that he significantly reduced the amount of nudity in his new romantic comedy, One Night Only, due to changing audience preferences.

Gluck noted that test screenings indicated modern audiences, including Gen Z and Gen Alpha, often feel uncomfortable viewing explicit adult situations in a shared theater setting. He attributed this to a societal shift where intimate content is now viewed more privately on personal devices rather than in public spaces.

The film, starring Monica Barbaro and Callum Turner, is set in an alternate New York where premarital sex is prohibited except for a single 12-hour period each year. Gluck stated that he continued editing the scenes until a balance was reached that did not distract or uncomfortably engage the audience.
