Director Will Gluck reflects on Amanda Bynes’ final film role

Director Will Gluck has addressed the career of Amanda Bynes, specifically her final on-screen performance in the 2010 film ‘Easy A’. Gluck noted that Bynes, who was once a major star, played a supporting role alongside Emma Stone in the production.

While the film was a significant commercial success, grossing approximately $75 million against an $8 million budget, Bynes reportedly struggled with her contribution to the project. Following the film, Bynes stepped away from acting and subsequently faced well-documented mental health and substance abuse challenges. Gluck expressed that he was ‘shocked’ by the subsequent struggles in her life, noting that she was ‘100 percent a pro’ during filming and that he had not observed any issues while on set.
