Directorate General of Civil Aviation launches digital transformation

The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (SHGM) has announced a major digital transformation within the civil aviation sector. Under the New Civil Aviation Model, coordinated by the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure, document processes are being transitioned to a digital environment via the Corporate Transformation Model (KDM-ORG and KDM-ERP).

This shift aims to reduce physical paperwork, minimize waiting times, and enhance the speed and security of transactions. The digital infrastructure is designed to provide verifiable documentation, allowing for the monitoring of document sources and validity to prevent unauthorized changes or the use of fraudulent documents.

In addition to general documentation, the SHGM is expanding these digital efforts to include pilot flight records. A comprehensive study has been launched to transition personal pilot logbooks from paper to a digital format. Through web service integration between air transport operators and the SHGM, flight records will be tracked simultaneously, reducing manual data entry and increasing the accuracy and transparency of flight history management.
