Directors praise Salman Khan and Sanjay Dutt in ‘7 Dogs’

Directors Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah have praised the performances and professionalism of Indian actors Salman Khan and Sanjay Dutt during the filming of the Saudi Arabian action movie ‘7 Dogs’. The filmmaking duo, known for the ‘Bad Boys’ franchise, described working with the actors as an educational experience, with El Arbi comparing Khan’s screen presence to that of Will Smith.

Shot entirely in Riyadh, ‘7 Dogs’ features a global cast including Egyptian actors Ahmed Ezz and Karim Abdel Aziz, Italian actress Monica Bellucci, and Giancarlo Esposito. The plot follows an Interpol officer and a criminal figure who must collaborate to dismantle a transnational syndicate involved in trafficking a synthetic drug known as ‘Pink Lady’.

The casting of Khan and Dutt was reportedly an idea from Turki Alalshikh, chairman of the General Entertainment Authority and the film's writer. The directors highlighted the actors' humility and deep understanding of cinema, noting their willingness to assist the crew during setups.
