DirecTV and EverPass seal multi‑year deal to keep NFL Sunday Ticket in U.S. bars

DirecTV and EverPass Media announced a new multi‑year agreement that will keep NFL Sunday Ticket available to bars, restaurants, casinos and other commercial venues across the United States. Under the deal, DirecTV for Business will serve as EverPass’s marketing and commercial distribution partner, handling sales, marketing and distribution for the full slate of EverPass’s commercial sports rights, including NFL Sunday Ticket, NFL RedZone and other premium packages such as ESPN+, MLB Extra Innings, NBA League Pass, NHL Center Ice and MLS Season Pass.

The agreement reverses a previously threatened split that would have moved Sunday Ticket to a streaming‑only model. EverPass CEO Alex Kaplan said the partnership “creates greater availability for bars, restaurants and other commercial businesses,” while DirecTV COO Mike Wittrock highlighted the added flexibility for venues. More than 300,000 commercial locations already use DirecTV for Business, and the deal expands their access to live sports content via both satellite and streaming.

The partnership builds on the three‑year distribution arrangement originally forged in 2023 when the NFL and RedBird Capital created EverPass to hold the commercial rights after the residential package left DirecTV.
