DIRECTV launches customizable multiview for live sports

DIRECTV has launched a new “Build Your Own Multiview” feature designed to allow sports fans to watch up to four live events simultaneously on a single screen. The tool enables users to create customized two-, three-, or four-channel lineups, providing more control over how they follow overlapping sporting events.

The feature is specifically tailored toward live sports and is available to streaming customers. Supported channels include ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU, FS1, NFL Network, NBA TV, MLB Network, NHL Network, CBS Sports Network, Golf Channel, Tennis Channel, ACC Network, and Big Ten Network, as well as select games on local and national broadcast stations.

This rollout comes as several major sports leagues, including the NFL, NBA, NHL, MLB, and WNBA, have overlapping schedules. The new functionality allows users to add or edit their channel choices at any time during a broadcast.
