Diriyah hosts cultural celebrations and book launch for Saudi National Day

Cultural celebrations are underway in Diriyah to mark Saudi National Day and honor the nation's heritage. The Diriyah Gate Development Authority is hosting events under the slogan ‘Ezz wa Ezwa’, focusing on the legacy of King Abdulaziz and his role in unifying the Kingdom. The festivities aim to highlight the historical values of solidarity and leadership that have defined the Saudi state over three centuries.

In a related cultural milestone, Princess Sura bint Saud bin Saad Al Saud launched ‘The Riyadh Book’ at Al Zalal Square in Diriyah. This publication is the first in a planned series by the ‘Sura Group’ intended to showcase the diverse cultural heritage, traditions, and landscapes of various regions across Saudi Arabia. The book utilizes storytelling and illustrations to bridge the history of landmarks like Diriyah and Al Masmak Palace with modern icons such as the Kingdom Centre, presenting Riyadh as a hub where tradition meets innovation.
