Dirty Dancing cult film to air on VOX television
The 1987 cult classic film Dirty Dancing is scheduled for broadcast on the German television channel VOX. The film stars Jennifer Grey and the late Patrick Swayze, who passed away from cancer in 2009 at age 57.
Set in the summer of 1963, the story follows 17-year-old Frances as she meets dance instructor Johnny Castle at a vacation camp. The film's dance sequences were choreographed by Kenny Ortega. A sequel, Dirty Dancing 2, was released in 2004.
