Dirty Dancing: The Musical to debut on Broadway in 2027

Dirty Dancing: The Musical is set to make its Broadway debut at the Lena Horne Theatre in New York City, running from February 12, 2027, through September 5, 2027. The production marks the 40th anniversary of the original 1987 film.

Directed by Lonny Price, who appeared in the original film, the musical features a cast of 27 performers, including 21 Broadway debutants. Annalese Starzec and Blake Zelesnikar will lead the production as Frances ‘Baby’ Houseman and Johnny Castle, respectively. The show will include iconic music from the film, such as ‘(I’ve Had) The Time of My Life’.

A special gala celebration is scheduled for March 14, 2027. The Broadway engagement follows a North American tour and will be followed by a national tour. Additionally, Lionsgate has confirmed that a sequel to the original film is currently in development, with producers working on a script.
