Dirty Duck powerboat crashes after hitting 213 mph at Lake of the Ozarks Shootout

During the 38th annual Lake of the Ozarks Shootout in Missouri, a high-performance catamaran named ‘Dirty Duck’ went airborne after crossing the finish line at approximately 213 mph (343 km/h).

The vessel lost contact with the water, rotated nearly vertical, and crashed back onto the surface. Despite the violence of the impact, the boat landed upright, and both occupants survived. Driver Adam Seraphine suffered a broken leg, while throttleman Rusty Williams escaped without serious injury.

The 213 mph run was recorded as the fastest speed of the day on Saturday, though it was eventually surpassed by another vessel on Sunday. The team had previously repaired significant engine damage sustained during a test run earlier in the week to ensure the boat could compete.
