Disability service providers protest payment delays in Mar del Plata
Disability service providers in Mar del Plata, represented by the Asociación Civil por la Discapacidad y la Inclusión (Aspredis), held a protest in front of the General Pueyrredón Municipality to demand payment for services already rendered.
Protesters claimed that a break in the payment chain, exacerbated by national budget cuts, threatens the continuity of essential services for people with disabilities. Aspredis president Yésica Machado stated that the mobilization addresses systemic rights violations and the failure to comply with the Disability Emergency Law. According to the organization, more than 700 providers in the Mar del Plata area are currently affected by these delays.
