Disability support programs expand in Argentina and Spain

New initiatives have been launched to support individuals with disabilities and their families in Argentina and Spain.

In Argentina, the Comprehensive Orientation and Accompaniment Program has begun operations. To facilitate access to information regarding procedures, services, and support, BA Discapacidad is conducting itinerant assistance in various neighborhoods. Between September 14 and 18, assistance tents will be stationed in several plazas and parks, including Plaza Constitución and Plaza Salaberry, from 9:00 to 14:00. The program also maintains permanent offices at Piedras 1281 and Bartolomé Mitre 701.

In Spain, the NGO COCEMFE Alicante is providing free specialized resources and advisory services to public schools for the 2026-2027 academic year. Through the Red DUActiva project, the organization aims to promote inclusive education by offering technological resources, adapted products, and educational reinforcement for students with disabilities. The initiative includes the development of accessible materials, pilot classrooms based on Universal Design for Learning (UDL), and training spaces for teachers and families, while also addressing issues such as bullying prevention.
