DisagioPop APS launches mental health awareness event
DisagioPop APS, a new association led by President Simona Pagliardi and founded by musician Patrizia Colombo, has launched its inaugural event, ‘#DISAGIOPOP – Sound for Good’. The event is scheduled for September 5 at the Cesano Maderno velodrome, featuring live music, professional insights, and personal testimonies.
The initiative aims to foster dialogue regarding mental health and neurodivergence, such as ADHD and autism, seeking to prevent these conditions from becoming the sole defining characteristic of an individual. The program includes performances by artists such as Gatto Panceri, Spectrum Vates, Udi, and others, alongside contributions from psychologists and support organizations.
The launch comes amid rising awareness of mental health challenges. According to a November 2025 World Health Organization report for Europe, one in seven children or adolescents in the region lives with a mental health condition, a figure that rises to one in four for girls aged 15 to 19. The report also notes that mental health prevalence among youth has increased by approximately one-third over the last fifteen years.
