Disaroca Group Wins Panama City 2026 Christmas Lighting Contract
The Panama City mayor's office awarded Disaroca Group S.A. a contract worth US$3,299,893 to provide holiday lighting for the 2026 season. The project will cover 35 public locations across the capital and its peripheral districts, including Plaza Catedral, Parque Santa Ana, Parque Porras, Parque Amelia Denis de Icaza, the Avenida de los Mártires bridge, the Curundú roundabout, Parque Urracá, and five points along the Cinta Costera, as well as the main Christmas tree at the municipal building in Hatillo.
Disaroca was the sole bidder and received a perfect score of 100 points after evaluation by a commission comprising municipal and governmental officials. Installation is scheduled to begin in October, with testing in November and the official lighting ceremony set for 29 November 2026. The lights will remain on until 31 January 2027, extending the display beyond the usual holiday period.
