In Brazil, the government is pressuring the platform to adopt stricter safety protocols following a teen suicide case. Meanwhile, reports indicate Discord is planning to restore global age verification under the codename ‘Tiny Bronco.’ This system would likely introduce tighter restrictions for teenagers, such as limiting access to adult-only servers, blurring sensitive media, and restricting use of stage channels.

While Discord states that its facial age estimation runs on-device and that IDs are deleted after verification to protect privacy, the move has raised concerns among users regarding data security and personal privacy.
