Discover Airlines to launch direct Frankfurt to Belize flights

The Belize Tourism Board has announced a new seasonal direct air service connecting Frankfurt, Germany, to Belize City. Starting December 16, 2027, Discover Airlines, a leisure subsidiary of the Lufthansa Group, will operate flights twice weekly on Thursdays and Sundays.

The service is scheduled to run through mid-April 2028, aligning with Belize’s dry season. Anthony Mahler, Belize’s Minister of Tourism, Youth, Sports and Diaspora Relations, stated that the route is of strategic importance to the nation’s tourism industry as it seeks to diversify source markets and expand international connectivity.

By establishing a direct link from a major European aviation hub, the route aims to attract more visitors from Germany and the broader European region to experience Belize’s barrier reef, rainforests, and Maya archaeological sites.
