Discover Airlines announces new routes to Scotland and England
Discover Airlines, a member of the Lufthansa Group, has announced two new seasonal flight routes scheduled for 2027. The airline will launch a weekly service between Frankfurt and Inverness, Scotland, starting June 19, 2027. This marks the first nonstop connection between these two locations, aimed at increasing accessibility to the Scottish Highlands and facilitating tourism from Germany.
Additionally, Discover Airlines will introduce a new service between Bristol, England, and Frankfurt beginning in May 2027. This route will operate twice weekly on Mondays and Thursdays, serving as the airline’s first destination in England and strengthening economic and tourism links between the South West of England and Germany.
In separate news, SWISS is updating its long-haul catering concept, ‘SWISS Taste of Switzerland’. Starting September 2, 2026, the airline will feature menus developed by the Michelin-starred Villa Sommerlust from the Canton of Schaffhausen. The new culinary offerings, which include a mix of Swiss, Mediterranean, and Asian influences, will be served in First, Business, and Premium Economy classes on long-haul flights departing from Zurich or Geneva.
