Discover Airlines to temporarily operate Lufthansa routes

Discover Airlines will temporarily take over several short and medium-haul routes from Lufthansa during the 2026/2027 winter flight schedule. The airline will operate these connections from hubs in Frankfurt and Munich.

According to the airline, the shift is due to the need for cockpit personnel training as the Discover fleet grows. The arrangement is intended to be temporary, with the routes expected to return to Lufthansa at the start of the summer 2027 flight schedule.

Discover Airlines will manage seven routes in total. From Frankfurt, the airline will handle flights to Copenhagen, Lyon, Prague, Reykjavik, and Stockholm, though for some of these, it will only take over specific frequencies. From Munich, the airline will operate connections to Belgrade and Lyon.
