Diósgyőri VTK dismisses head coach Péter Takács

Diósgyőri VTK has dismissed head coach Péter Takács following a 2-0 home defeat against BVSC-Zugló. The club, currently sitting in 13th place in the NB II, announced the decision on Monday evening.

Sport director Richárd Vincze stated that the decision was made in the best interest of the club, noting that a recent negative streak could not be halted and that neither player performance nor team play had improved. Takács, who had been leading the team since April, will remain connected to the club in a different capacity. An interim successor will be drawn from the club’s U17 team.
