Cleaning experts suggest several household items that can be cleaned using dishwasher tablets due to their enzyme and surfactant content. These tablets can effectively remove grease, food residue, and odors from surfaces such as range hoods, shower cabins, trash cans, and oven racks.

However, certain items should never be placed inside a dishwasher to avoid damage. Prohibited items include cast iron skillets, wooden utensils and cutting boards, antique porcelain with delicate hand-painted or gold details, aluminum cookware, and chef knives. Additionally, garlic presses and cheese graters may retain food residue, while thermal cups and labeled bottles require specific care to prevent damage or filter clogs.
