Disinformation networks identified using fake news websites

Investigations into online disinformation have identified networks of websites used to spread false information. Organizations designated by the Southern Poverty Law Center include Eliminalia, a reputation management firm that has authored a network of more than 600 websites, and Regency Companies, which has authored sites to promote the film ‘Hope for Health’.

Additionally, researchers have documented extensive directories of fraudulent information sites originating from the Philippines that target Philippine audiences.
