Disney and ESPN announce Super Bowl LXI broadcasting plans
Disney and ESPN have confirmed that Super Bowl LXI, scheduled for February 14, 2027, at SoFi Stadium, will be available to stream on Disney+. This expansion is part of a global strategy to test the platform's capacity for live sports across more than 55 international markets, including Brazil, Latin America, South Africa, and Australia.
In addition to the traditional broadcast featuring Joe Buck and Troy Aikman, ESPN is introducing several alternate viewing options. These include the ‘Super Bowl LXI Field Pass with The Pat McAfee Show’ on ESPNU and the ‘Super Bowl LXI Playbook with Next Gen Stats’ on NFL Network. The ManningCast, featuring Peyton and Eli Manning, will also return on ESPN2.
Spanish-language coverage will be provided via ESPN Deportes and Disney+, with a separate presentation on Univision. While Disney has stated that US subscribers can access the game on Disney+ without additional costs, specific pricing and plan details for international markets like Brazil have not yet been disclosed.
