Star Wars: The Ninth Jedi anime series to debut on Disney+ and Hulu Aug 5, 2026

Lucasfilm and animation studio Production I.G announced an eight‑episode limited series titled *Star Wars: Visions Presents – The Ninth Jedi*. The series expands the story of Lah Kara, a young Jedi introduced in the 2021 *Star Wars: Visions* short, and follows her continued training under Margrave Juro as she seeks to rescue her father and confront a threat involving kyber‑crystal weapons.

The trailer and teaser poster were unveiled at a panel during Anime Expo 2026 in Los Angeles. The show will stream exclusively on Disney+ and Hulu beginning 5 August 2026, with both Japanese and English audio tracks. The English dub features returning cast members such as Kimiko Glenn (Lah Kara) and Simu Liu (Lah Zhima), alongside new voices including Feodor Chin and Young Mazino.

This release marks the launch of a new "Visions Presents" banner, delivering longer‑form storytelling within the *Star Wars* universe for the first time.
