Disney and major theme parks announce seasonal holiday programming

Major theme parks are transitioning between seasonal celebrations, with Halloween events currently underway and Christmas programming being announced.

At Walt Disney World, the Halloween season runs from August 7 through October 31. Notable attractions include Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party and seasonal decorations at Fort Wilderness Campground.

Disneyland Resort has released details for its annual holiday celebration. While traditional overlays and entertainment like ‘It’s a Small World Holiday’ and the ‘A Christmas Fantasy Parade’ will return, the Santa Claus meet-and-greet is moving to a new location in Toontown.

Other regional holiday activities include Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Orlando and upcoming Christmas celebrations at SeaWorld Orlando and Dollywood, which is scheduled to begin its Smoky Mountain Christmas on November 6.
