Theme parks launch 2026 Halloween seasonal events

Major theme parks in Florida and California are launching their 2026 Halloween seasonal events.

At Universal Studios Florida, the iconic entrance archways are currently obscured by scrim, likely in preparation for Halloween Horror Nights, which begins August 28.

Disney properties are also preparing for the season. Disneyland Resort has kicked off its Halloween Time festivities, while Disney Store has released a new collection inspired by Tim Burton’s ‘The Nightmare Before Christmas’. At Walt Disney World, the ‘Happily Ever After’ nighttime spectacular at Magic Kingdom will shift to an earlier 9 p.m. showtime on select nights starting October 5.

SeaWorld Orlando is featuring characters from ‘Hotel Transylvania’ for its Halloween Spooktacular, including a themed breakfast experience. Other regional offerings include Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party at Disney’s Magic Kingdom and various seasonal events at Busch Gardens Tampa Bay and LEGOLAND Florida.
